Got Hope?

No one is exempt from experiencing struggles and problems in life. However, in Christ we have hope! The trials that we face are opportunities to become better people from the inside out and to see God’s power demonstrated. We may wonder when the adverse situation is going to end but in the waiting, we are developing into better versions of ourselves. Being patient is a resolve to never give up and to see things through until the end. Although this is hard, the key to waiting is to do so with a positive attitude. Maturity in this area goes on to develop strength of character which is stability and security in who we are. First and foremost we are children of God who reflect who He is. Having a strong sense of identity makes us all the more sure of our salvation. No matter what situation we face, we can be confident that we will get through it because God is with us and is for us. This hope that we have will never lead to disappointment. God has proven himself so many times in our lives to be faithful and dependable. So, those desires that we have are worth hoping for. Even though the wait may be long, the situation may seem bleak, and it may look like the opportunity is never going to come.....keep hoping! Our faith in God will never disappoint us because He always keeps His promises and will see us through to the end.

What challenging situation are you facing today? I encourage you to choose hope and see it through to the end.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that

they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:3-5
