You are chosen...You are loved!

Colossians 3:12 (AMP) So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper];

God saw enough value and worth in us that He picked us out for Himself. We are chosen in spite of our imperfections, our pasts, and mistakes. Not only are we chosen, we are also holy. The word holy at times can be an intimidating word for me because I know I'll never be perfect in this life. However, I'm glad that this version of scripture explains that holy simply means being set apart for His purpose. God has reserved us to live out his unique plan and not our own. We are also reminded that God loves us and it adds that we are WELL loved by Him. God's has a great amount of love for us, it is more than enough, and it's perfect. Being loved by God is both something that happens to us and it's also our identity. We are beloved, it's who we are! As we grow in confidence that we are loved, we'll become more compassionate, kind, patient, and loving; reflecting who God is. Today I want to reassure you that you are valuable, chosen, special, and greatly loved! Happy Valentine's Day to you and your loved ones. Remember to share love today and everyday.
