Need a fresh start?

Psalm 51:10 (AMP)

Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.

Do you need a fresh start? I have prayed this prayer on many occasions when felt like I needed a do over so to speak. David was not a perfect man, neither am I, but He was an honest man which captured God's attention. It's good to know that we can take all things to God and be ourselves when we’re talking to Him. God knows everything about us so we might as well tell Him what's on our minds. There is nothing that we have done or experienced that is a surprise to Him. Being candid helps to develop intimacy and gives God the room to work in us. There have been times where different experiences and the cares of life contaminated my heart. Who better to take my heart to than the one who made it? When we go to God in faith, we can find acceptance, healing, and a renewed spirit. The old is done away with and we are made brand new. This fresh start produces within us a change of heart and that do over that we desire. It's great to know that when I experience bumps in the road that I can go to God for acceptance, renewal, and restoration.
