Rise Up and Shine!

Isaiah 60:1 (NIV)

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

It’s a new day and we have a new opportunity to share the light of God with others. It’s your time to do those things that are in your heart to do. Maybe it’s starting a non-profit, finishing school, writing a book, volunteering in the community, or making someone smile today. Whatever you know that you are supposed to do, now is the time to do it. Get up, dust off discouragement, throw the excuses away, and fight the fear so that you can live out your purpose. Someone is literally waiting for and needs what you have to give. Be confident that God’s presence is with you and in you to empower you to do what’s in your heart. Every day seek to walk in purpose and share your gift with others in love. As you do so, you are shining God’s light and allowing others to experience Him through you. You never know the difference an encounter with you is making in someone’s life. Today I encourage us to arise, put those desires that are in our hearts in motion, and shine, shine, shine!
